Chrissie Hynde, do Pretenders, anuncia álbum de duetos; ouça 1º single

Chrissie Hynde, vocalista do Pretenders, anunciou um novo álbum solo, intitulado “Duets Special”, via Parlophone. O trabalho está previsto para sair em 17 de outubro.

O disco contará com duetos de grandes artistas como Debbie Harry (Blondie), Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), Cat Power, Julian Lennon, Shirley Manson (Garbage) e Dan Auerbach (Black Keys). O músico Mark Lanegan, que faleceu em 2022, também está entre os nomes divulgados.

O primeiro single do álbum, um cover de “Always On My Mind”, balada que ficou famosa por Elvis Presley, já está disponível com a participação de Rufus Wainwright. Ouça abaixo.

“Eu nunca pensei em fazer um álbum de duetos”, disse Hynde. “Acho que a ideia surgiu em 2023. Eu estava conversando com o marido de Rufus Wainwright, por telefone. Acho que estávamos recomendando romances um para o outro e, por algum motivo, eu disse: ‘Ei, talvez o Rufus e eu devemos fazer alguma coisa juntos'”.
